Andrew Alderdice has more than 35 years of experience working in the health and human services sectors in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific and is currently leading Abt Global’s domestic programs and consultancy practice in Australia.Andrew has worked in a variety of roles, including as a consultant, executive manager and clinician. He has more than 25 years of experience in executive-level positions, including nearly nine years as director of a private management consulting business in Australia. He served as director of the Australian Government-funded health and HIV program in Papua New Guinea. Andrew has been the director of strategy for a regional health service, chief executive officer of a health and aged-care complex and director of a regional community health service.

Jeffrey Lubell — a leading authority on housing and community development — is the director of Housing and Community Initiatives at Abt Global. In that capacity, he provides policy, program and research expertise to assist policymakers in solving the nation’s pressing challenges in the areas of affordable housing, economic inclusion and asset-building, and community development.  

Beth Boulay has 15 years of experience using robust evaluation tools and methods to generate evidence practitioners need to make critical decisions. Her work includes designing and conducting research aimed at identifying effective education interventions that promise to improve student achievement and education outcomes. She has led large-scale, complex evaluations that use a range of research methodologies to assess the impact of policies and programs. Boulay also provides evaluation technical assistance to help increase local evaluators’ capacity to produce rigorous evidence of program effectiveness and implementation fidelity.

Soumitra Ghosh is an international development professional with 40 years’ experience in the for-profit and non-profit private sector, with more than two decades of experience in global health. Soumitra is a thought leader committed to delivering sustainable health outcomes at scale. He has created and led large scale, high-impact, and innovative public health programs in HIV/AIDS, family planning, RMNCAH, nutrition, tuberculosis, malaria, and water/sanitation/hygiene He also has worked in primary healthcare, using social marketing, social franchising, social behavior change, public-private partnerships, and market-based partnerships. Soumitra has worked in South Asia, South-East Asia, and Anglophone Africa.

David Judkins has 35 years of experience as a statistician supporting survey research, evaluation methodology and the evaluation of large-scale social interventions. Since joining Abt in 2012, he serves as a senior scientist consulting across the division on a variety of small and large evaluations covering topics that range from questionnaire design to analytic strategies.Judkins has recently focused his career on the evaluation of social interventions, particularly in the fields of adult job training, education, prosocial mass-media campaigns and child welfare.   

Leisa Gibson, the Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) senior advisor and practice lead for Abt in Britain, has more than 20 years of international experience working for governments, the United Nations, and civil society organisations. Her expertise includes strategic and operational planning, program formulation and delivery, change management, coordination and partnerships, quality assurance, and targeted interventions. She works on such issues as disability, development, inclusive leadership, gender and gender-based violence (GBV) in humanitarian action, child marriage, women’s economic empowerment, and organisational capacity development.

Sandra Wilson is an internationally known expert in research synthesis and meta-analysis. She has conducted systematic reviews of educational programs, most notably on school-based violence prevention and high school dropout programs.Prior to joining Abt, Wilson was the associate director of the Peabody Research Institute and a research assistant professor at Vanderbilt University. Wilson led and supported research projects at the Center for Evaluation Research and Methodology at Vanderbilt.

Brooke Abrams is a trained political scientist and health equity expert with seven years of experience leading and contributing to equitable and anti-racist research, evaluation, and technical assistance projects. Her work innovates the fields of housing, criminal justice reform, and health equity across BIPOC populations. Abrams has worked closely with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, American Civil Liberties Union, and the Casey Family Foundation to advance health and well-being across marginalized populations. Her technical assistance expertise focuses on meaningfully and equitably engaging persons with lived expertise to investigate pervasive inequities in communities’ coordinated entry housing systems. Brooke’s research has advanced prison reform in New Mexico, housing systems transformation in Minneapolis, and Abt’s Racial Equity Standardization.
