Lisa Simeon is Abt Global’s Chief Operations Officer. In this role, Simeon is establishing a global operations function to cover all aspects of project management. It will include continuous improvement and scalability of Abt’s standards, processes, and digital platforms for project start-up and closeout, workforce planning, risk management, and quality review to achieve strong financial performance and ensure client satisfaction across the company. She will continue to oversee Human Resources and will add responsibility for global security operations and emergency response to her portfolio.

Claire Jones has more than 14 years of experience in health financing. Her work includes sustainability planning, domestic resource mobilization, resource tracking, costing, efficiency analyses, public expenditure reviews, and strengthening of financial management systems. She has provided technical support to promote universal health coverage (UHC). Jones has experience facilitating the engagement of a wide range of stakeholders and building critical partnerships. She also has experience generating evidence to inform suitable health financing reforms and strategies with the goal of extended access to quality health services.

Hadiza Soumaila

Hadiza Soumaila is a medical entomologist, biologist, and scientist with more than 15 years of global experience in the field entomological surveillance for diseases such as malaria, Rift Valley fever, and yellow fever. She has substantial experience in vector-borne diseases and served as head of the Vector Control Unit of Niger’s National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) for more than 13 years. She has taught biological sciences, hematology, parasitology, and entomology at the Niger National School of Public Health for more than 20 years.

Ramakrishnan Ganesan is an expert in health markets with more than 20 years of experience working in market development across Asia and Africa, including managing projects in fragile and conflict states. Ganesan has worked with health ministry officials to strengthen private sector participation in reproductive health, HIV, and maternal, newborn, and child health on projects for USAID and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has strengthened the capacity of local social marketing organizations to enhance their impact and sustainability, facilitated introduction and scaling-up of commercial pharmaceutical businesses in low- and middle-income countries, supported social enterprises to launch health products and services, and conducted assessments to understand barriers and opportunities for greater private- sector engagement.

His technical expertise includes health insurance, fiscal decentralization, strategic planning, and policy development.Leulseged has provided technical assistance and leadership for four USAID health financing and health systems strengthening projects. One of his most significant contributions has been supporting the introduction and expansion of community-based health insurance and other health care financing reforms in Ethiopia. These reforms have mobilized resources to the health sector, strengthened health facility governance, and improved the quality, accessibility, and utilization of health services.

Isabel Ana Nhatave
Senior Health Systems Strengthening Specialist, Improved Family Planning Initiative Project, Mozambique
Dr. Isabel Ana Nhatave has over 20 years of experience implementing STI/HIV/AIDS; maternal, newborn, and child health; and cervical cancer programs with a focus on health system strengthening. Dr. Nhatave has worked with national, provincial, and district-level governments and with local health facilities to build health system capacity, including health service management, human resources for health, supply chain management, and quality improvement processes. She has successfully advocated for the establishment of technical working groups and quality improvement and management committees and directorates across health areas within the Mozambique Ministry of Health.

Cara Jackson

Dr. Cara Jackson is an evaluation expert with decades of experience designing and managing evaluations of education programs. She has extensive experience with a broad range of evaluation approaches, including quasi-experimental designs, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods, and systematic evidence reviews. Jackson is a former pre-kindergarten and kindergarten teacher, and her work builds on that experience. It has included evaluations of teacher preparation programs, charter school program replication and expansion grants, and a variety of district-level educational programs. She also has developed a framework for democratizing the development of evidence to incorporate a greater variety of perspectives in evaluation. Jackson is the author of numerous peer-reviewed articles on a range of topics, including a historical writing intervention and performance pay for educators. She has co-edited two books, one on teacher preparation program design and outcomes and another on assessment education. She has delivered over 50 conference presentations and invited talks in both academic and practice settings and has appeared on numerous podcasts. She currently serves as the president of the Association for Education Finance and Policy, on the board of the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning, and on the Center for the Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research Policymakers Council.
