Anne-Marie Slaughter is the President and CEO of New America, a think tank and civic enterprise with offices in Washington and New York. She is also the Bert G. Kerstetter '66 University Professor Emerita of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University.From 2009–2011 she served as director of Policy Planning for the United States Department of State, the first woman to hold that position. Upon leaving the State Department she received the Secretary’s Distinguished Service Award for her work leading the Quadrennial Diplomacy and Development Review, as well as meritorious service awards from USAID and the Supreme Allied Commander for Europe. Prior to her government service, Slaughter was the Dean of Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs from 2002–2009 and the J. Sinclair Armstrong Professor of International, Foreign, and Comparative Law at Harvard Law School from 1994-2002.

Graham Teskey, based in Canberra, Australia, is the leader of Abt Global’s Global Governance practice. He serves as a resource on the governance aspects of international development, leads or supports engagement with major clients, and is building Abt’s thought leadership and reputational capital in governance.Before joining Abt, Graham was the principal governance specialist for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), where his role was to advise DFAT on its governance and public sector programs in its international aid program.

Sheila P. Burke is a strategic advisor in the Washington, D.C. office of Baker Donelson and chair of the firm’s Government Relations & Policy Group. An expert in health policy, Burke is a member of the faculty at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and is a Distinguished Visitor at the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University. Burke held a number of positions during a 19-year career on Capitol Hill – including staff director of the Senate Finance Committee responsible for legislation relating to Medicare, Medicaid and other health programs – and chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Bob Dole.

Andrew Alderdice has more than 35 years of experience working in the health and human services sectors in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific and is currently leading Abt Global’s domestic programs and consultancy practice in Australia.Andrew has worked in a variety of roles, including as a consultant, executive manager and clinician. He has more than 25 years of experience in executive-level positions, including nearly nine years as director of a private management consulting business in Australia. He served as director of the Australian Government-funded health and HIV program in Papua New Guinea. Andrew has been the director of strategy for a regional health service, chief executive officer of a health and aged-care complex and director of a regional community health service.

Nadiia Zaritska is a Ph.D. sociologist with 13 years of extensive experience in programme management, research, monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL), and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) analysis. With a steadfast commitment to promoting gender equality, social inclusion, and human rights, Zaritska has focused her efforts on driving reforms, democratization, and addressing the social repercussions of conflict and war. Her professional journey has led her to engage closely with national and local governmental bodies in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.

Alexandra Nastase is the Chief Technical Director, based in London. She has more than 15 years of experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of large reform and technical assistance programs to improve public sector performance and strengthen civil society.Nastase has held leadership and senior advisory roles for multi-million technical assistance programs funded by World Bank, European Commission, World Food Programme, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade, United Nations Development Program, and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO).

Lisa Tarantino has 25 years of experience designing, managing, and evaluating complex global health and development programs. She has managed global, regional, and national initiatives for health finance, system strengthening, and private sector financing in 20+ countries. Lisa is a thought leader in sustainable approaches that enable transition from development partner support. Lisa has been a professor and advisor to the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs’ Economic and Political Development program and the Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies’ International Development program.

Tarekegn Abate Biru has more than 25 years of experience working in the Ethiopian health, finance, and economic development sectors. He has held senior positions on USAID projects and in government.As a health care financing expert, Biru has provided technical support in planning, implementing, and assessing the implementation of health care financing reforms throughout Ethiopia. This includes training and supportive supervision to strengthen the capacity of decision-makers and front-line implementers at all levels of the health system.

Kelly Batsiokis is a management consultant with 20 years’ experience in the education, health, and human services sectors. She has worked in areas ranging from health promotion and adult education to business case development to monitoring and evaluation of health programs. She has worked for non-government organizations and public and private organizations.Kelly has led or contributed to approximately 30 projects, including a diverse range of reviews, evaluations, and business planning projects spanning local, state, and Commonwealth government organizations. Her project roles included project management, reporting, survey development and analysis, literature reviews, stakeholder and consumer interviews, focus groups, workshops, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
