Request for Proposal: Gender-Responsive Innovations for At-home Aged Care in Vietnam – IW-RFP-2024-12
Abt Associates Pty Ltd trading as Abt Global (ACN 091591294) is managing Investing in Women (IW), an initiative of the Australian Government. IW 2023-2027, will sustain and advance the Australian Government’s commitment to accelerate women's economic equality in Southeast through by helping women thrive in the workplace and succeed in business.
Through this RFP, IW is looking for a partner to implement the Gender-Responsive Innovations for At-Home Aged Care Initiative in Vietnam, which aims to build the evidence base on gender-responsive, private sector-led solutions that can improve the quality of at-home care for older adults in Vietnam while supporting the rebalancing of women’s responsibility for unpaid care work.
To be eligible to respond to this RFP and to receive IW funding, you must:
- Be a legal entity/organisation (individuals are not eligible to apply) with existing presence in Vietnam, including, but not limited to, for profit and not-for-profit entities such as incubators, accelerators, impact investor network, ecosystem builders;
- Hold the legal right and all necessary approvals to implement this program activity in Vietnam;
- Have demonstrated connections with businesses based in Vietnam engaged in developing offers on gender-responsive at-home aged care (this could include early stage, established and looking to scale, existing business considering adaptation of services to this segment); and
- In the case of a consortium consisting of multiple legal entities, IW will only enter into a contract with one legal entity (the Lead Organisation). The Lead Organisation is expected to arrange the contractual arrangements with the other consortium members.

Proposals must be submitted electronically to procurement@iwa.asia before the Proposal Closing Time and Date, using the subject line: “Gender-Responsive Innovations for At-Home Aged Care in Vietnam – Proposal. – Proposal.” All Proposals must be received in PDF format attached to the email.
The tender for proposals will close 10 January 2025, 5pm, local time Vietnam.

Printing Services for Year 2 ITN distributions-PMI Evolve Ethiopia Project
The PMI Evolve Ethiopia project has identified a need for the procurement of household Voucher card/coupon, HH registration book, Tally sheet and other related printing items for distribution of 1.29m &1.8m bed nets in to two rounds to various districts of Oromia, Southwest Ethiopia, Sidama & Benishangul Gumuz, regions for prevention of malaria activities to meet the needs of the Client/Donor and accomplish the project purposes.

Request for Information: HETA and EECA Energy-as-a-Service in Tanzania_Extended
The Health Electrification and Telecommunications Alliance (HETA) is Power Africa’s flagship initiative that supports health facility electrification in off-grid and on-grid areas where there is weak and unreliable electricity supply. As a global development alliance, HETA is a partnership between Power Africa, USAID health teams, and private sector energy companies working to improve energy access and digital connectivity at 10,000 health facilities across sub-Saharan Africa. HETA works to support the development and deployment of context-driven business models that can provide health facilities with long-term, reliable access to renewable energy.
The Empower East and Central Africa (EECA) program is Power Africa’s regional program designed to support countries in the region to end energy poverty, accelerate a carbon-free future, and boost energy sector investment and innovation. By the end of the project, EECA aims to deliver 1,200 MW, 1,500 km transmission lines, 150,000 productive use of energy devices sold, and 11.5 million on- and off-grid connections that provide 50 million people with access to new or improved energy from less carbon-intensive sources.
HETA and EECA have jointly prepared this RFI to advance both projects’ efforts to support Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) models in the off-grid solar PV market in Tanzania.Both HETA and EECA are interested in supporting EaaS models within the Tanzanian market. HETA is exploring the potential of private and public health facilities to serve as anchor clients for energy companies with opportunities for expanded economic and productive use. EECA’s focus is on households and larger commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. This request is intended to generate updated market intelligence that will inform each project’s strategy for its portfolio of work in Tanzania.
