Levine
Peter Levine is a multi-disciplinary economic growth and private-sector development specialist with more than 25 years of experience in program management, new business development, and communications for complex international programs. This includes extensive work in Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Central/Eastern Europe and successful capture work for Abt Global in Africa. This portfolio of activities encompasses new business and technical/financial management of U.S.-government funded projects ranging from $5 million to $55 million. Committed to youth issues, he mentors students and young professionals and integrates them into programs.
Levine advises Abt Britain on new business, prime contract management, and other services as required. He serves as project director for the FCDO Good Governance Fund: Eastern Partnership Technical Assistance Facility, a program delivering assistance across COVID response; micro, small & medium enterprises development; labour codes; and other issues of importance to the British government. In addition, he serves as project director for innovative monitoring, evaluation, and learning programs in Nepal, advises on proposal capture efforts, and helped the Abt UK team adapt to foreign aid budget cuts, the DFID/FCO merger, and COVID.
Levine served as project director on a series of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)-funded projects in Indonesia starting in 2012. These projects led to additional MCC Compact procurements in Indonesia, the USAID Cambodia Horticulture Project, USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia Clean Power Asia Project, and the Abt Australia KOMPAK Project. The MCA-Indonesia PMAP6 project included more than 100 personnel working in 173 villages in a complex effort requiring constant management, oversight, and client engagement. Levine previously served as a vice president at Financial Markets International, Inc., where he managed the USAID ProCafta Project in Nicaragua. He also served chief of party for the USAID Ukraine International Business Standards-Corporate Governance project.
