Abt Associates is now Abt Global. While our name has changed, our commitment to addressing the world’s most pressing problems with equity and agility remains the same as it’s been for nearly 60 years. We still go by “Abt,” in honor of our founder, but changing our name underscores the scope of our continuing—and evolving—mission to improve the quality of life and economic well-being of people worldwide.
Leaders at all Levels
Leadership experts have found that strong people managers are central to improving an employee's experience at work. Our new Leading People Development Program, designed to develop managerial talent, attracted 282 people managers in its first year. The investment will provide a better, more consistent and more equitable employee experience.
We are introducing a new and improved mentoring approach program, a unified, One Global Abt program available to all Abt staff. Mentoring is vital to empower the entire Abt community to navigate professional environments better and build skills and competencies to deliver on our mission.
Operational and Delivery Excellence
In 2023, Abt launched its new Global Compliance Policy and Global Quality Management System (Global QMS) to realize operational and delivery excellence. Abt will achieve this through integrating and operationalizing client, corporate, contractual, and legal compliance obligations across Abt’s control environment. We documented policies and procedures in compliance materials and supporting documents, enabling the standardization and improvement of how Abt does its work.
The Global QMS consists of policies, procedures and supporting documents in 14 areas, from contracts to legal and business ethics to travel—a one-stop shop for all documentation. The system includes documentation of new process assets for project management in response to feedback and findings from our projects and leadership teams.
Ultimately, the system will result in greater impact and project excellence and make it easier to work at Abt. This initiative reflects our values of integrity and excellence and our commitment to maintain the trust that our staff has in us.
